Richland Balsam Summit Loop

  • Distance: 1.5 Miles Out and Back
  • Elevation Gain: 400 ft.
  • Difficulty: Easy

For our second hike today, we stopped at the highest point on the Parkway, Richland Balsam.  There is an easy loop to the summit thru the spruce and fir trees.  It is a shaded trail and there aren’t any long distance views, but it is quiet and there were several wildflowers blooming on the trail.
