Miles Hiked in 2021

4545 ft of Elevation Gain

In 2020, my total miles hiked was a personal best.  It was the year of Covid and I needed the sanity of the woods in order to cope. My total miles hiked were 456.5 miles with 81,706 feet of elevation gain. So, this is the number to beat in 2021.

My husband will be newly retired, so I expect to get in longer hikes during the week.  Hopefully, together, we can break this record.

It's a ponytail life for me!

Take only pictures, leave only footprints.

The picture to the left is my favorite picture. It was taken on an overcast spring day on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Although I usually take pictures with my iPhone, I used a Nikon D3200 DSLR for this picture.  Not bad for a novice.
